When families move to Edmond, one the first questions they ask is where to find the best local food/drinks/entertainment. And as your Edmond expert, I’ve made it my job to explore each of these options for you. Right now my mission is to find the best cup of coffee in town.

(And as a coffee-addicted Realtor constantly driving all over the metro, this is one challenge I was more than happy to undertake!)

Today I present one of the best local coffee shops in Edmond, Oklahoma:

Cowgirl Coffee

Cowgirl Coffee is one local coffee shop that is consistently recommended when this question is asked across social media. But what makes this place really unique is that it’s not a shop at all! It’s more of a coffee cottage and drive through in north Edmond, at the corner of Broadway and Waterloo (map). And small as it is, this place has developed an almost cult-like following, with fans raving about the deliciously high quality coffee it has to offer.

What to order?

One of the rules of this mission of mine is to ask for each shop’s most popular or recommended beverage. At Cowgirl Coffee (where the service was top-notch, by the way), I was told the most popular drink at the moment is their Caramello. The worker said it was “like a Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks, only better.” And I have to say, she was not wrong!

The coffee is certainly delicious. But one of my favorite details about Cowgirl Coffee is the personal touch they add to each cup. Many times when I drive through, they will place a chocolate covered coffee bean on the lid of each cup. This time, I got this adorable little grumpy pumpkin instead.

If you live on the north side of town, make time to drive through one morning as you begin your day. And if you don’t live on the north side, I suggest you drive up and give it a try anyway. You will not be disappointed!
