After a couple of days hiding inside from the cold, I’m ready to get back out of the house! Who’s with me? Luckily there is a lot to do this week in OKC and all the surrounding areas.

  • 7 pm: 2019 OKC Midtown Rotary Spelling Bee(R): Join OKC Midtown Rotary in their quest to find the best speller around! Participate or watch the bee while enjoying delicious local food from Pub W and beer from Vanessa House, Stonecloud, Twisted Spike, Anthem, Roughtail, and Zipline and browsing the silent auction.   • 8 pm: Twelfth Night by Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park: A rich, romantic, and deeply funny story of longing, love, and laughter led by one of Shakespeare’s most beloved heroines. Learn more or purchase tickets HERE.
  • 8 pm: La Sylphide at the Civic Center Music Hall: One of the world’s oldest surviving ballets and the first major ballet of the Romantic era, La Sylphide is the story of James, a young Scotsman. On the eve of his wedding day he falls in love with a sylph, a beautiful fairy of the forest. With a glorious score from Herman Severin Løvenskiold and August Bournonville’s original choreography, the story unravels in a mist of uncertainty as an evil witch vows to keep James from true love of any kind.   • 10:30 am: Weatherschool at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum: NewsChannel 4 and the National Cowboy Museum are teaming up to present Weatherschool, a great way for kids to learn about Oklahoma’s ever-changing weather in a lively format with the KFOR 4Warn Storm Team. Following Weatherschool, explore the Museum’s exhibitions to discover the role of weather in the West.
